TRAIL 2025: A Celebration of Art, Community & Sustainability

Trail 2025 has once again transformed Teignmouth’s seafront into a vibrant showcase of imagination, collaboration and environmental awareness. From recycled sculptures that spark conversation to colourful installations by local schools and artists, this year’s Trail celebrated both creativity and caring for our planet.

TRAIL extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, sponsors and visitors. Your support and inspiration are what bring TRAIL to life each year.

Now, we’re already turning our gaze ahead to Trail 2026, as we prepare to mark 20 years of creativity, sustainable art, and community. Exciting plans are taking shape to make this a truly memorable anniversary year, and we look forward to making it the most spectacular Trail yet.

About TRAIL

TRAIL (Teignmouth Recycled Art in the Landscape) is an artist-led organisation raising awareness of environmental issues through art and education. TRAIL gives professional artists, schools, community groups and amateur artists the opportunity to create and exhibit large scale art works for an outdoor environment. It culminates in an annual sculpture trail on Teignmouth seafront and a gallery exhibition at TAAG and/or the Pavilions.

TRAIL was established in 2005 and in its early years contributed to the establishment of TAAG (in 2010). In recent years it has been organised by Sam Lock.

TRAIL Returned in 2024

TRAIL took a sabbatical in 2023 but the TRAIL Recycled Sculpture exhibition on the seafront was back for 2024.

There were 15 pieces on Teignmouth seafront.

What We Did in 2023

In 2023 we were changing into a charity, which will allow us to do much bigger things in the future. This activity meant we were really busy! So we decided to take a year off running the seafront TRAIL to allow us the time and space to develop and come back stronger in 2024.
